We work with North Tyneside Council to provide a range of free online services to support you, in addition to what is already on offer.

Support for you in North Tyneside
If you're a carer supporting someone in North Tyneside, we’re here to help with practical and emotional support. Remember, you don’t have to wait until crisis point before asking for help - the earlier you ask, the bigger difference it can make.
Local support services with North Tyneside Carers' Centre
North Tyneside Carers' Centre supports those of us living across North Tyneside. The support they offer includes:
- Information, advice and emotional support,
- One to one support to help you understand the impact of your caring role and the local support and services available.
- Statutory carers assessments.
- Advocacy support to ensure your views are considered during care planning e.g. safeguarding or hospital discharge meetings.
- Counselling.
- Peer support groups and wellbeing sessions.
- Training to increase your knowledge, skills and confidence in supporting the person you care for.
- One to one specialist support for Carers caring for someone with a mental health condition e.g. mental health legislation, putting boundaries in place, discharge planning.
- One to one and peer support for Young Adult Carers aged 16-25.
- One to one support for Carers in work or those who are looking to return to work.
- Support for Young Carers aged 5-18 including one to one support, family support, breaks and activities and therapeutic counselling.
