How to register as a carer

Registering as an "unpaid carer" can help us access the help we’re eligible for. It may feel strange to call ourselves "unpaid carers", as we're still a family member or friend.

But registering with our GP or local services can help unlock support and discounts for carers.

Support for you in Solihull

Local support with Carers Trust Solihull 

Carers Trust Solihull offers free support for those of us living in Solihull, no matter our age. They provide support for young carers (between 5 and 25), adult carers (25 and older) and older carers (60+). Such as:

  • Befriending services 
  • Training
  • Caring for someone with a learning disability
